This is the information page for everything you need to know about the 58th State History Conference of Affiliated Societies hosted by the Bridgetown Historical Society from 1-3 September 2023.

VENUE LOCATIONS

The Registration and Welcome Function on Friday, 1st September, and the Dinner on Saturday, 2nd September are being held at the Junior Farmers' Hall, Bridgetown Showgrounds, 38 Peninsula Rd.  The conference sessions on Saturday and Sunday morning are being held at the Bridgetown Public Library, 75 Steere St.

Car Park

PARKING

There is ample parking at the Showgrounds. The Library has 80 car bays. Share vehicles if possible. Please do not use the nearby Rec Centre, Clovers General store or Bridgetown Medical Centre carparks. You may park on the verges of Steere St or Gifford Rd. The carpark opposite the Railway Station off Spencer St is also an option but is a 700-metre walk to the library.

TRANSPORT

If you do not have your own transport whilst in town, please contact BHS if you require assistance getting to venues. There is no taxi service or public transport in Bridgetown.

WELCOME FUNCTION

Networking Event

The Registration and Welcome Function will run from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A selection of finger foods, alcoholic and soft drinks will be served. Partners and friends of delegates are welcome to attend - subject to capacity restraints.

ACCOMMODATION

A Gourmet banquet, prepared by the legendary Pip Mills from Bridgetown Pottery Restaurant, will be held in the Junior Farmers Hall at Bridgetown Showgrounds. A glass of locally produced wine per person is included. BYO for other selections. Vegan and gluten-free available.
